As one of the hardest-working DJs out there, Harajuku staple Taichiro Tsuboi alias "2BOY" is ahead of the trend, playing sets all over Japan to great demand. His genre-defying, fashion-forward mixes are the treat of the Tokyo club scene, making him immensely popular between both the underground and mainstream crowd. His skills have put him alongside other world-class DJs such as The Lowbrows,DJ Kyoko, ALYN,Kan Takahiko, YATT,Kosuke Adam.
2BOY released his first mixtape in April of 2010 titled "Good Morning Mr. Insomnia". It was met with sounding success, kicking off a nationwide 10-location tour across Japan. The tour culminated in a final stop where 2BOY played a memorable 6-hour special set to a packed crowd.
2BOY's first EP, "EUREKA" drops at the end of July 2011, available for purchase at Beatport. Remixes of Eureka include the likes of Stopmakingme (UK), Black Sebbath from NERDZ ERA (JP), and Lobstag (JP).
His creative talents do not end there -- 2BOY self-produces of his own artwork for his flyers and videos, immersing listeners and viewers in full sensory engagement. With all that said, he is also one of the main bloggers for the website DropTokyo.com, always introducing new fashions, music, and artwork for eager readers.
2BOY is the organizer and main DJ for his party DEPARTMENT, events that maintain an electric atmosphere while keeping the music unpredictable, eclectic, and fresh. In honor of the release of his first EP, DEPARTMENT will host the release party for EUREKA at Ever in Tokyo.
