22ROCKETS, aka Stephan Matschke, works as a DJ/producer while also holding down responsibilities as a lead promoter and resident in Berlin’s infamous SALON – ZUR WILDEN RENATE. There he hosts his two main nights, the VOYAGE VOYAGE and SPANK ME DISKO.

For countless years, 22ROCKETS has been a vital part of the underground dance community in Berlin, where he was born and raised. Heavily influenced by his early experiences in Berlin’s rave scene, he felt the strong urge to become a part of this world in which he is now a staple.

With numerous forward thinking record stores to frequent in the Berlin area, 22ROCKETS has amassed a record collection, which tells his story through a diverse selection of styles and genres. 22ROCKETS takes his audience on a journey, often weaving a tapestry of music that last for 10 hours or longer. His sound could only be described as a mesh of house, neo-discoesque slowmotion love edits, e-pop mashups, and garage.

22ROCKETS has played in nearly every worthwhile club in Berlin but also performed internationally in places such as London, Beirut, Moscow, Switzerland and in Sweden among others. He also spent a half-year traveling through India, playing nights in Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore and Goa. This left a lasting impression on him, which comes out through his track selection and musical storytelling.

He is currently working on his own productions with other artists that are soon to see the light of day.
