This was literally the LAST entry to make it in before the deadline as I was pushing it to the last minute with changes and edits before I had to stop or miss out! lol
Anyway, this remix is special to me not only because this is my first time attempting Bossa Nova (fused with Soul, at that) but because I just so happened to have finished producing while in Brasil where I've been on vacation/holiday to experience my first ever Carnaval. Also, since my host is an accomplished Bossa Nova singer, I had to run it by her to make sure this was accurate and not an insult to her country's beautiful genre...thankfully she liked it!
Anyway, thank you for taking any time to listen, and if you voted or commented. Oh, and the piano in the first bridge and rhodes afterwards is Robert Glasper. The main piano solo towards the end is all me (as well as the rest of the music). Hope you enjoy...

Thank you all for your comments, and no, I didn't win the competition lol I admit it was a surprise, even though I think Tall Black Guy's winning track is, in fact, very dope and by no means subpar at all. I guess I figured maybe because I actually composed and played my own original parts to give it a very unique spin that I'd edge everyone else out (especially considering the fact mine was the most popular on the "Hot Tracks" section of the site, and was featured all over the blogosphere, culminating in a highlight feature on Okayplayer.com)...but I digress LOL The fact that I got exposure like that is the real win, and I appreciate that and you all as well!
So, I suppose the best thing to say is to keep telling your friends, fans, DJs, fellow music lovers about me because if they want someone who will push the envelope, I'm that guy. Peace! ;o)
