SHORT BIO
I'm a self-taught musician who never even had informal lessons. This is one of the gifts I've been given and I'm doing what I can to use it well. I've only been a professional musician since 2002 after first teaching myself w/ a Casio keyboard lol.
Either way, I'm blessed to have worked with some of the people you'll hear on here, and I still shake my head in wonder ;o)
Thank you for the comments and good energy, even if I am slow to respond, but I only come in here to post new music then get back in the studio lol
I'm open to collabs with artists whose style/sound mine may compliment, and also am for hire for production, mixing, mastering, etc. For what I can do, I'm very affordable, but hit me soon before that changes lol
Anyway, it's a blessing to do this, though it's hard work, nonetheless. It is a gift and I am very grateful for it! I didn't take the easy road, but I take risks because I'm afraid of what would happen if I didn't ;o)
peace,
Ahmed

@R+Des: Thanks man, and eventually I will be, yes. Just emerging from the studio life so gotta prepare for the live part ;)
@A Cage For Scatterbrain: Your comment, aside from very appreciated, was hilarious...thank you for BOTH! ;o)
@Eugenia Marshall 1: I guess something is wrong, then lol But thank you very much ;o)
Thank you, everyone...really glad you liked this as this is my first attempt at a mashup :o) Sometimes random lab experiments work out, I guess lol
Thank you @PhilipClark and @Monicae201 ;o)
@DJ Bemi: Thanks Bemi...rock it in Blighty for me ;)
@djtonypoole: Thanks Tony :)
Thank you all for your comments, and no, I didn't win the competition lol I admit it was a surprise, even though I think Tall Black Guy's winning track is, in fact, very dope and by no means subpar at all. I guess I figured maybe because I actually composed and played my own original parts to give it a very unique spin that I'd edge everyone else out (especially considering the fact mine was the most popular on the "Hot Tracks" section of the site, and was featured all over the blogosphere, culminating in a highlight feature on Okayplayer.com)...but I digress LOL The fact that I got exposure like that is the real win, and I appreciate that and you all as well!
So, I suppose the best thing to say is to keep telling your friends, fans, DJs, fellow music lovers about me because if they want someone who will push the envelope, I'm that guy. Peace! ;o)
@DJbeatArkitekt: A wedding? Let me know how that goes lol :)
@DJbeatArkitekt: Thank you very much, and I appreciate your attention to the small details :)
Thank you all for your gracious comments, and everything for a reason as I'm glad that something that was made in under a day's time and not initially used for what it was created for has found a taker, so I just might be reposting this with vocals, but I shall so no more on that for now ;) Thank you, again.
Thank you all again, truly, for your comments. This has been a sad time, this first part of 2012, with losses of not just a musical legend but of everyday people who didn't deserve to die...I think the same for Whitney (and I know how I phrased that to imply). But for all the years I have loved her music, I am glad that I was able to grow in skill (thanks be to God) to be able produce this tribute. Her tragic end is only in the physical...as long as her music and legacy continue to inspire and touch people, she will always live, literally, as energy cannot be destroyed, and she left a lot of it to last generations.
@Kenneth Anderson 3: If you're not a writer or lyricist, you really need to be :) Can't even say anything else but thank you.
@Dario Maffia: You're welcome and thank you for the comment :)
@musikhed: My eyes were definitely not dry as I worked on this...was rough...but glad it got done and glad you could get something from it :)
@Ecstasoul Music: Many thanks for the comment...she moved me so many times in my life that it's difficult to comprehend she's gone. This was hard to record, emotionally, but I needed to release some way.
@ClevelandPJones: Thank you, Cleveland...and if anyone can do any justice at covering any of Ms. Houston's body of work, you, Maestro, surely can...can't wait for your genius to drop this year :)
I don't mind if you post this for people to hear but I did not intend for this track to be a free download, so please either disable the download and direct people to the link below where they can purchase this legally, or kindly remove this from your playlist. Thank you for your consideration of my work and of my request and please support independent artists who have no label support :)

It's starting to get a bit more difficult to address everyone to thank you directly, but it is very humbling to have your ears to share my work with and your gracious comments/thoughts that help me to know I'm on the right track (no pun intended lol). BIG THANK YOU to: @Rasjr @rhythmhub @dj osum @E.Classic @Monicae201 @Coach_K @InDeLiBLe @Mixedontherocks @jaderider @Hiroko Sato @soulbipolar @DJStylus @Eugenia Marshall 1 @l0rdblak @Edgar Allen Floe® @DJ.DOUBLE.O @NickHS @Wam-T @Najeema @indieb @lil'dave @muchosoul and please look for more new [especially ORIGINAL] music coming your way ;o) peace!
@rhythmhub: It got accidentally deleted :( Have to start over from scratch
Good work as always, sir :)
@tweetie73: Met Terrance...love his work, as well as Bill Lee who did the music that inspired this particular joint! And I see you B'More in BK...and you're killin' me with that avi photo (lawd lol)
As long as you link to the original (as you did) I'm good. Carry on ;o)
@tweetie73: Thank you, and I think you're the first person to catch that right off the bat...and I see you live in my hometown, too ;)
Interesting alteration...but of course I have to include the link to download the original Bossa Soula Remix: http://ahmedisthemusic.bandcamp.com/track/robert-glasper-feat-king-move-love-bossa-soula-remix
Yo! OKAYPLAYER.COM actually featured my remix on their sites News page! http://www.okayplayer.com/news/audio-robert-glasper-experiment-x-king-move-love-bossa-nova-remix.html
Thank you to all of you who have been keeping this buzz going and for just being the great music lovers that you are :) Makes doing this work more worthwhile when people who love the art appreciate the effort!
Okay, so I see I will have to make an alternate download for this as well lol Thank you all for the comments...I guess if the people demand it, I gotta at least provide something, huh? :)
Thank you all for your gracious comments, and even though it's my bday today, I guess I'll be giving the gifts lol Check the description for the NEW download link ;)
@Micah-AKA-G7: Guess it's a shame, then lol
@dazikue: Coming from you, especially, that's an honor as I LOVE B.I.T.A. and saw you all when I first moved to London ;)
@DJStylus: Man, you put together some really dope ass DJ mixes, man! Honored to even be included ;o)
That's you on keys, AJ? What's the band breakdown? Either way, excellent job, my friend! ;o)
I appreciate your comments, thank you :) And what I find very ironic & strange, at this point, is that YouTube sent me an email saying that MY original music may have matched someone else's work (i.e. Content ID/copyright holder). How crazy is that?? Here I am, the creator of the music, have the master file to prove I did it, and they say it may be someone else's? And of all that I've posted of my music online, the first time I post something political, and actually speaks out against the stripping of freedom of speech and censorship via NDAA and SOPA, they pull this number? LOL It's like a message to me that just making a song & video is not enough to protest, so they want me to really show & prove lo smh Learning quickly, I am...
Thank you all, again, and thanks for the continued support on your blog @PhilipClark :) This track is definitely is more so for it's message than musical content, but I had to add the music to get people's interest who may not normally sit through a speech. Freedom of Speech and expression is very important to me as it is with any artist, so we must keep that freedom going. To attempt passing an act called 'Stop Online Piracy Act" or SOPA may seem good on the surface b/c it "supposed" to stop the entertainment industry from losing money, but when you also include the power to censor the Internet in the way that China can, for instance, for whatever reason, then there is a different agenda altogether. And wasn't it piracy that essentially created the iTunes, which I'm sure Apple is not upset about lol In other words, these things balance themselves out, but the "powers that be" have their own agenda. Also, look out for the "Protecting IP Act" or PIPA. America (and the world)..pay attention and WAKE UP!
Thank you, all, for listening. Let's see how "popular" this one will be lol smdh *sigh*
The George Duke of Italy ;o) lol Great work, sir...dope progressions fa sho :o) All the best in the contest!
@Zogri: Thank you all and please excuse my tardy replies...still working away on new material :o)
@Micah-AKA-G7: Thanks Micah...I'm just glad you waited the 30 secs needed to see where it would go lol Glad you like it, too!
Thank you recent 3 for your comments :o) This remix was one I'm glad I decided to do as I've been exposed to some really cool people because of it, including none other than Rahsaan Patterson, who reached out through one of my supporters on Soundcloud to remix one of his songs, which I'm etching out ideas for now. This site is great! :)
P.S. - @DeViere I recorded the song "Sensitive", with Cleveland Jones, in Boston ;)
