Untaken City – Music Owns You

Untaken City is the new pseudonym of Gavin Boyce. Fresh from releases on Kolour Recordings, Nordic Traxx and Chillin music, here he delivers two tracks aimed directly for the dance floor encompassing the sounds being played on the cooler dance floors. The original mix is a synth led monster while the Gavin Boyce Remix is a lush deep builder. Between the two mixes there is something for most DJ’s.

Gavin setup his first set of turntables 13yrs ago and has not stopped trying to excel himself since. In the past 7 years his DJ’ing career has escalated to the next level he has been a Resident for no less then 2 of Waterfords most popular club nights Re:Publik & Resistance. Both of these residencies have given him a chance to play a more diverse range of house music while supporting almost every big name in the buisness and it shows on his production skills. Where most producers pigeonhole themselves Gavin has left the book wide open. And with that said his tracks have captured the ears of some of the big time players in the house music scene including djs Sneak, Kerri Chandler, Laurent Garnier, Mark Farina, Kaskade, Dj Harri and Mazi. 2008-09 saw the Irish man release 2 eps on Vancouver's excellent Nordic Traxx imprint with "Antitrust" from the Face Down ep getting hot release of the week on Fish Go Deep's wide reaching weekly podcast and radio show."

1999 Recordings is the brainchild of DJ and producer Louis Hughes who also runs a successful digital label ‘6th Sense Music’. The first release from 1999 came out on Vinyl at the end of November and showcased the varied underground house sound that the label will push. Hector Moralez, Two Deep and Rhythm Plate featured on the first release with support coming from a whole host of DJ’s including Mark Farina, At Jazz, Moodymanc, Sneak and Nick Holder amongst others.
