DJ SIG aka Chen Jian
Born in Qingdao. In 2003, he founded the band “XXX” and act as
drummers in Xi’An. Left “XXX” in 2005. Then he formed band “NAZIKT” ,act as collections, till 2006. He has been developing his own creation and then released his first EP “Closed Exit” by the name of DJ JC, recorded in “Xi’An Independence Essential Mix 2”. In 2007, He moved to Beijing and has been working as a music-writer/producer and DJ as DJ SIG to dat,

D_X_M lives in Lanzhou. He formed and joined many underground bands in the city from 2002 to 2007. He has co-starred with some well-known bands including “CMCB” and “Asura” as the warming–up guest. He came into contact with electronic music in end of 2007 and has been creating independently since then. His productions cover a number of various genres, and are mainly recorded as the Demos and live sets.

Canticle
Canticle real name is Liu Jianzhou from Lanzhou.An electronic musician in Beijing and has been in quite a few bands. He began his productions in 2003 and his music comes across genres over Electroacoustic, Ambient and Noise etc. In 2008 he collaborated with jti to create “Underwater”, a subsidiary record label of “18W Records”, and the electronic group “Silents”.

jfi(Zhang Jianfu), an artist, experimenter of design,member of music group “Silents”,the founder of the label “18W Records”. His lo-fi band “Metallurgy” was formed in July, 2001. He performed at the “MOWOOD” Experimental Art Festival in June 2005 and released his first album “Tai Hao Tower” in July the same year, which mixed Atmosphere-Intustry element. “18W records” produced the sound experimental work “Cities hallucinations impression”in conjuncion a Canadian record label “Non-art noise”in november,2006. Then it has transformed its music manner into mainly Minimal. The production of the album “Mr. Austism” was completed in January 2009, which carried on the thought on mixing different genres. “emphasize the more electrical part of electronic musi”,that’s he wants to express.

Wang Min (stage name mixrabbit), a new generation artist, designer and DJ, is one of the founders of 18W Records (in 2005) and responsible for album sound mixing and postproduction. He is also the schemer of the Chinese new art magazine, mastermind of Generation Artist Exhibition.

18W Records, established in June 2005, is a record label which produces, studies, explores and develops experimental electronic sounds in accordance with its possible forms in the domain of electronic music scene.

Its first album “Bose Reflection” was released in 2005 and presented the label’s unique and distinctive experimental qualities.

It announced production of “Cities hallucinations impression” in partnership with the Canadian label Non-art Noise Records in November 2006.

Echokey launched his first album “Space Noize” in 2006.

The direction of 18W Records’spread has been gradually converting from sounds arts towards experimental electronic ,with that ,“Bird Park” (by jfi) and “White Form”with low sonic was released .
In 2008, due to the changes of the artists, jfi and Canticle founded the subsidiary label of 18W Records, “Underwater”, which tends to stress experimental music and sounds productions.

In early 2009, album “V.A. Set Fit Free” launched.It comprised of a number of well-known musicians .It simply describes a soundview over cold postmodern to us by the high creation level and high quality.
