The story of 13PM (°1977) already began back in 1995, when he coincidentally visited the first edition of 10days of techno. There he immediately fell in love with electronic music. Already a few months later he started to collect records. At first he mainly focussed on wonky and freaky techno from the likes of Subhead, Neil Landstrumm,... but through the years this interest broadened from freaky techno, electro and hard breaks,... to jungle, breakcore and other styles that touch the limits of insanity.
Even though he had some turntables at home from the beginning, he was more an obsessed collector than a dj. Until... in 2002 he met the people behind Twisted Hardware, who encouraged him to start spinning the turntables more frequently. About a year later they asked him to join Twisted Hardware as a result of their party together with Bloody Bastards on Acid @ Silo. This was also the first time he could impress a public with his stunning record-collection. Some other parties followed soon, such as the TH-day on 7days festival where he played together with C-mikron. This performance was not planned, and even less prepared. What was supposed to be “mixing a couple of records together” turned out to be a 2u30-set, mixing freaky techno, both old-and newskool, varied with hard breaks and electro.
They immediately knew this was not a one-time experience and started mixing together more frequently under their new alias “The Demolition Dj’s”.
In 2006 13PM stopped dj’ing due to other priorities in his life... but once a dj always a dj. At the end of 2009 he got bitten by a virus called “jackin’ house”. Thank you very much Nashua, lol ;) And with this new love he couldn’t resist the temptation to start all over again... exchanging techno into house but still bringing music with that crazy twist!
