New York’s Cabo Blanco makes tracks that are a dedicated blend of deep, ghetto and tropical bass. He’s also one of the resident DJ’s for 110.FM’s ¡ALARMA! party in NYC, where he commands entire parties with a thumbstick and CDJ’s.

Since spring 2012, Cabo has been flooding SoundCloud and dance blogs with remixes, edits and more. He’s released two jukey refixes of Usher’s “Climax” and “What Happened to U,” experimented with trap structures on “Sanctuary,” and sunk into deep R&B vibes on his edit of Disclosure’s “Boiling.” But tracks cerca the 110BPM range are his specialty, Cabo’s remix of Jai Paul’s “Jasmine” for So Emotional considered the overall favorite at that tempo.

The range of his upcoming releases looks just as wide. “I have a rap single coming out next month called “Slip & Slide” featuring SJ Beats and Doley Bernays… It’s a weird acid-trap strip club banger,” Cabo describes through Gmail. “Comrade and I will be releasing a Baile Funk-inspired EP where we baile-out several genres.” And down the line, a four track commercial EP of “soulful-pop moombahton with hints of R&B and 90′s House.”

“Animal” and “Gata” validate Cabo’s particular moombahton palette. Within, we hear a smattering of early Dutch-house edits, grinding low-end synths, and gleefully chopped up vocal samples. Basically, Cabo Blanco at his hypest.
