UNLIMITED EDITsions Disco was a special sponsored event by 101 Apparel; a collaboration courtesy of Lovefingers (NYC/LA) and Lee Douglas (NYC/Rong) and an exclusive mix by Dj-producer Lono Brazil (Chicago/NYC) entitled a “Disco Unusual Social Club Mix”. This exlcusive mix CD features 100% edits and is for the disco heads, record heads and collectors alike!

Unusual Social Club is a moving Dirty Disco Party that takes house and disco heads, on a musical adventure that's full of Studio 54 glam and old-school Chicago House Music energy. Everything from boogie to late krautrock has become fair game in these the hippest DJ sets in America, and forgotten disco detritus such as "Lovetown" are staples for DUSC & Dimitri from Paris. The most reliably tasteful dance party in the city, Disco Unusual Social Club, has been running for just over a year now. Indie kids pack the compact Danny’s Tavern in Bucktown floor to the distinctive bass lines of disco edits while DJ Lono Brazil blows whistles and passes around the tambourine. Things get a little nuts.

Designed to conjure the era of the Loft and DJs like Nicky Siano and Larry Levan. Lono Brazil keeps the dance floor packed with dirty-disco programming, mutant dance oddities and original edits and exclusives. Chic! Il est très chic. "Edits created disco," explains Lee Douglas (née Doug Lee), citing folks like Tom Moulton, who famously took master tapes of Philly soul and funk songs and spliced the tape so as to extend the best parts. As Moulton recalls in the crucial tome Last Night a DJ Saved My Life, "I just thought it was a shame that the records weren't longer, so people could really start getting off." To make a nonstop 45-minute mix back then, Moulton would labor on the reels for upward of 80 hours.

Such edit work set the template for all future mixers, remixers, and producers, be it Walter Gibbons, Larry Levan, and François K., or Chicago DJs like Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles, on through to the present, Lono Brazil(DUSC EDITS), Lee Douglas(RONG), Lovefingers (BlackDisco)Prince Language(Editions Disco), Todd Terje to name just a few.
