How to Highlight Your Sounds with Spotlight

Your SoundCloud sounds list is like an activity stream, and so we make sure your newest sounds are always on top. But if you're a Premium user who has a few older sounds or sets that you want to highlight, Spotlight can make sure they're what your new fans see first.

Before you start

In order to use Spotlight, you have to have at least a Lite account. If you're currently on a free account and are interested in this feature, you can find out more information on our Premium page.

Overview

Enabling Spotlight is a very simple process! Just head to your public profile, which you can find a link to under the "You" menu at the top of the site. On the right hand side of your profile, there's a gear icon you can click to configure your profile settings. Click the gear, and push the "+ Add Spotlight Tab" button.

Once you've pushed that button, a "Spotlight Tab" configuration screen will pop up. Just select up to five of the sets or sounds you want to highlight, and arrange them on the bottom pane. Once you're satisfied, hit the "Save Spotlight tab" button on the bottom, and you should be good to go.

Now when you link visitors to your profile, the first tab they'll land on is the Spotlight tab, where they'll see your top sounds and sets in the order you chose.
