Alex Hilliar aka 100Me had a passion for music from an early age, going all the way back to his childhood in the early 80s. The defining moment was a visit to a friend’s house where he had his first taste on mixing on turntables around the 92/93 era. This love of mixing and record collecting continued, landing 100Me his first club gig in 1996 in The Dungeons (Lea Bridge Road, London).
He then got into music production starting off using the Playstation software ‘Music 1999’ then moving on to Propellaheads Reason from 2004- 2009 and from 2009- presently Using Ableton, Yamaha CS6x, Roland U220, Mackie 1202VLZ Mixer, Mackie Mr8 Mk2, Tapco 10" sub & a Quad Core PC.
100Me’s production style covers breaks ranging from 130-175BPM taking in sounds like Future Jungle and DnB, mostly producing at 140BPM. He has had releases on Definition:Breaks, Top Drawer Digital, Digital Acetate, Warehouse Wax, Bad Habit, Divergence (96Khz), Freak2Freak, Bass Hound Records & LW Recordings.
Influences come from many sources, in terms of genres, the early Jungle and House sounds were a big influence on the 100Me sounds you know today.
100Me has DJ’ed at many venues and events including The Dungeons(London), Karen Millen Chartiy Fashion Show, Cazfest Festival, Westmill Fesitval, Wilkestock Festival, Hertford Music Festival, Phatbeat.net (2 Weekly shows for 3 years), Image FM (guest shows), Unknown FM (Guest Shows), Old Queens Head (London), The Queen of Hoxton, Camden Rock, Deco, Corn Exchange (Hertford) & Batchwood Hall.
