18 years ago, 10 Days Off started as 10 Days Of Techno. Today, almost every electronic music genre can be seen and heard at the festival. 10 Days Off has become a landmark in the international electronic music scene. The festival welcomes artists, clubbers, music lovers and media from all over the world.
The festival has its own character and style, built on its pioneering decisive choice for programming electronic music. The duration (10 days), location (indoor, in the beloved beautiful building of the Vooruit Arts Centre) and the period (during the Ghent City Festivities) add a bunch of extras to the festival and the experience for its visitors.
At 10 Days Off, innovating contemporary artists come with timeless established top artists and talented young Belgian artists. The line-up is adventurous, attractive, challenging and fresh. Made for clubbers, but also giving guidance to new discoveries and giving chances to new genres and evolutions.
Artists on 10 Days Off perform live, semi-live or as dj's. The ongoing innovations of hard and software and it's implementations in performances, make it difficult to make a real distinction here. Therefore, artists are being announced the way they prefer.
10 Days off is one of the official festivals within the Gentse Feesten (Ghent city festivities) which is the biggest city festival in Europe.
