Brighton’s Dubstep dandy and local bounder, High Rankin (producer/ DJ) is one of the scenes most eccentric artists. His music brims with character and personality that engulfs the listener as well as causing the obvious dance floor riot. “Cut You Down” EP is by far his most adventurous and sensory enhancing work to date, bringing in his twisted takes on breaks, electronica and fidget.
High Rankin is signed to Underdogs Management and since then has released his lauded EP’s on Herves Cheap Thrills label, as well as featuring on Jay Cunning’s Sub Slayers Label. Airplay and guest mix/interview support comes from XFM’s Eddie Temple Morris, Kiss FM’s Sinden, Jay Cunning, Radio 1’s Kissy Sell Out, Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank and Ministry of Sound radio.
Adding to this fierce radio support High Rankin signed a publishing deal with Bucks and his live performances have become in high demand across the UK (Wax: On, Secret Garden) Europe & Russia. Ever the avid remixer, his remixes for Skunk Anansie, Missy Elliot, B Real (Cypress Hill), Adam Freeland and Amon Tobin have garnered further acclaim.
2010 sees him return to his true passion- releasing his incredibly diverse music the way he wants, Suicide Dub is his own unique and revolutionary label. High Rankin has an excellent moustache and will fight anyone who disagrees!!!
