About
It was back in 2003 when DJ Apnea aka Danny Martens,
made his first appearance in the legendary Belgian underground club "The Zoo".
At that time the club was owned by DJ Shive.
Following his appearance, Apnea swiftly signed to the
well known Belgian record label Kairoo Records where his DJ career began to rocket!
And now, after many years of playing his powerful DJ Sets across the globe
- he is now signed to the exciting Belgian based label Naturall Productions.
Apnea's DJ career has lead him to play at many parties and Festivals around Belgium, Germany (Vuuv festival),
Austria (Sundaychaizelt),Nepal (Shanti Jatra), Indonesia and Thailand (The Experience, Ban Sabaii, Blackmoon Culture, Halfmoon festival, Jungle Experience) to name a few!
Over the years - he has developed a style and technique more true to his nature -
powerful yet psychedelic/twilight, enough to make anyone freak on the dance floor throughout the night!
Apnea is famous for his groovy, psychedelic, full on sets.
Filled with mind teasing twists and a pinch of hypnotism to bring out the trance state of the mind.
His travels landed him on the magical island of Koh Phangan where he played at many parties
and became a resident of the home of the happy people, Ban Sabaii.
Today, Apnea also organizes the special Acid Moon parties at Ban Sabaii which are held two days before every Half moon.
Together with Jharu he started The Unseen Vision,
a project more orientated for the night time of which the first releases appeared on Naturall Productions
and there's much more music to come....
